MEET BETH KOTRAN
A Mother, a Lawyer, and a Voice of Reason
Welcome voters, Board of Education members, teachers and students of the North Hunterdon Voorhees Regional High School School District (the "District"). I am running for re-election, to represent my constituents of Clinton Township and Lebanon Borough, on the North Hunterdon Voorhees Regional High School Board of Education (the "Board"). I hope that you find the information provided on this website to be helpful and ask that you cast your vote for me.
For those new to my campaign, my name is Beth Kotran (pronounced Kah-trun). I am a proud mother of two amazing sons who have grown up in Clinton Township. My oldest son graduated from North Hunterdon High School in the Class of 2025 and will be attending the Indiana University Kelley School of Business this fall. My younger son is a Junior at North Hunterdon High School this 25-26 school year.
During my first term on the Board, I gained a deep understanding of how our schools operate—from the collaborative efforts between the Board, Superintendent, and Administration, to the essential roles our teachers and staff play in helping students grow and thrive. I also developed a clearer view of what’s still needed to better prepare our high school students for their futures. I’ve listened to you—my constituents—and brought your concerns and ideas to the full Board. I’m proud of what I accomplished during my initial term and believe I fulfilled the promises of my 2022–2025 campaign platform: Supporting Our Kids.
As I seek re-election, my 2026–2029 platform—Voice of Reason—represents a renewed and evolved focus. I’ve spent the last three years advocating fiercely for our children’s right to a quality education and for the resources our staff need to deliver it.
Unfortunately, personal agendas have increasingly dominated Board discussions, diverting attention from the real issues facing our students and staff. Board members have a duty to represent the majority views and opinions of their constituencies. That’s why I remain committed to transparency in District matters and to open dialogue at public Board meetings. Our community deserves to be informed and engaged in the decisions that shape our schools.
I’ve had the immense privilege of serving our community on the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District Board of Education over the past three years. Ensuring our students receive an exceptional education has been—and will remain—at the heart of everything I do. With that, I know there’s still much work to be done. I’m ready to continue the fight for our students, our educators, and our community. I hope I can count on your support and your vote on November 4th so we can keep moving forward—together.
-Beth Kotran
